This project is located in one of the most active cities in the country, Hawassa, around 270 km south of Addis Ababa. It is situated next to the beautiful Hawassa lake where the compound used to be the old Shebel no1 hotel, now owned by the United Africa Group.

The design gives off the cultural essence in a modern way as Hawassa is one of the most frequently visited destinations in the country. Different cultural patterns can be seen throughout the rooms starting from the entrance to the fabrics used and even the hanging painting on the wall, all bringing the culture to life. The design concept is ECO friendly that contends conservation of site ecology, naturally lit and ventilated, efficient space arrangement usage, local technique and material usages, wastewater treatment plant photo voltaic lights, and introduction of new construction and better methodology.

The hotel is required to be a high-quality resort and to accommodate all needed services.

Renovation and new build for 3-star hotel. 156 units of bungalows and cottages, conference and recreation facilities, swimming pools and exercise areas, and design of the site and civil works all with local architectural design features and ideas.
