While fulfilling all needed security requirements of an Embassy, the design intent was to also create a design that is cost effective but unique project in this dense and chaotic neighborhood. Simple open plan concepts give a harmonious working environment for the offices while using different colors on each floor brought some needed sense of individuality. On the lower public floors and reception, Ethiopian stone elements are used as a beautiful cladding material while connecting to exterior landscaping. The façade materials use a mix of horizontal aluminum panels, mosaic on concrete and variations of local trachytic stone as cladding elements marrying the local with the contemporary.
